From a difficult childhood to building an educational mission for deprived children.
मंगरूळ चव्हाळा येथील अत्यंत कठीण परिस्थितीत मतीन सरांचे बालपण गेले. वयाच्या पाचव्या वर्षी वडिलांच्या तुरुंगवासाच्या घटनेने त्यांच्या मनावर खोल परिणाम झाला.
Matin grew up in extremely difficult circumstances at Mangrul Chavala. His father's imprisonment when he was five left a deep impression on his childhood.
शाळेत प्रवेश मिळाल्यानंतर सामाजिक पूर्वग्रहांचा सामना करावा लागला. काही शिक्षकांच्या सहकार्याने आणि स्वतःच्या अभ्यासाच्या जिद्दीने त्यांनी शिक्षण सुरू ठेवले.
After entering school, Matin faced social prejudice. Kind teachers and his own determination helped him continue his education.
इयत्ता नववीत असताना रेशन कार्डासाठी आवश्यक असलेल्या जात प्रमाणपत्र आणि ओळखपत्रांच्या प्रश्नाची जाणीव झाली. समाजातील अनेक कुटुंबांसाठी हा प्रश्न सोडवण्याचा प्रयत्न त्यांनी सुरू केला.
While studying in Class IX, Matin encountered the problem of caste certificates and identity documents. He brought community members together to pursue recognition and documentation.
CRPF मध्ये निवड झाल्यानंतर प्रशिक्षण सुरू झाले. मात्र प्रशिक्षणादरम्यान खांद्याला गंभीर दुखापत झाली. त्यानंतर त्यांनी पुन्हा शिक्षणाचा मार्ग स्वीकारला आणि 2004 मध्ये बारावी उत्तीर्ण केली.
Matin was selected for CRPF training but suffered a serious shoulder injury during training. He returned home and completed his Class XII examination in 2004.
मेलघाटमधील जिल्हा परिषद शाळेत शिक्षक म्हणून नोकरी मिळाली. शिक्षणाने स्वतःचे जीवन बदलले, त्यामुळे इतर वंचित मुलांसाठीही शिक्षणाचे काम करण्याची प्रेरणा अधिक मजबूत झाली.
In 2005, Matin became a teacher in a Zilla Parishad school in the Melghat region. His own experience of education strengthened his desire to help underprivileged children.
2006 मध्ये धारणी येथे अध्यापन सुरू केले. 2007 मध्ये आपल्या समाजातील मुलांना शाळेत आणणे आणि लसीकरणाबाबत जनजागृती करणे यासाठी काम केले.
Matin began teaching at Dharni in 2006. In 2007, he also worked within his community to encourage children to attend school and helped build awareness around vaccination.
दोन पारधी मुलांचे मृतदेह आढळल्याची घटना मतीन सरांच्या जीवनाला निर्णायक वळण देणारी ठरली. केवळ स्वतःच्या कुटुंबासाठी शिक्षक म्हणून काम करणे पुरेसे नाही, तर समाजातील मुलांसाठी मोठे काम करणे आवश्यक आहे, असा संकल्प त्यांनी केला.
The death of two Pardhi boys became a defining moment in Matin's life. He realised that teaching only for his own family was not enough and decided to work for the children of his community.
रेल्वे स्थानके, वाहतूक सिग्नल आणि विविध वस्त्यांमध्ये जाऊन त्यांनी वंचित पारधी मुलांचा शोध घेतला. अनेक अडचणींना सामोरे जात त्यांनी वेगवेगळ्या ठिकाणांहून 188 मुले एकत्र आणली.
Matin travelled to settlements, railway stations and traffic signals searching for deprived Pardhi children. After a difficult journey, he gathered 188 children from different places.
वंचित मुलांसाठी स्वतंत्र शाळा उभारण्याचा निर्णय घेऊन त्यांनी जून 2010 मध्ये शिक्षकाची नोकरी सोडली. कुटुंबाच्या बचतीतून आणि उपलब्ध साधनांतून लहानशा झोपडीत शाळा सुरू झाली.
In June 2010, Matin resigned from his teaching job to build a school for children of his community. The first school began in a small thatched structure using family savings.
मुलांना अन्न देण्यासाठी दीड वर्ष संघर्ष केल्यानंतर शाळेसाठी निधी उभारण्याचा नवा मार्ग स्वीकारला. ऑगस्ट 2013 मध्ये भीक मागो आंदोलन सुरू करून समाजातील प्रत्येक व्यक्तीकडून एक रुपया योगदान मागितले.
After struggling to feed the children for nearly one and a half years, Matin launched the Bheek Mango campaign in August 2013 to raise funds for the school. He asked people in the community to contribute one rupee.
2014 मध्ये शाळेच्या बांधकामाला सुरुवात झाली. विहिरी, concrete classrooms, library, toilets, open-air stage, अभ्यासासाठी जागा आणि playground यांसारख्या सुविधा उभारल्या गेल्या.
Construction began in 2014. Wells, concrete classrooms, a library, toilets, an open-air stage, study spaces and a playground were developed.
2018 पर्यंत शाळेतील विद्यार्थी संख्या 447 झाली. शिक्षण मोफत ठेवण्यात आले. शिक्षकांची नियुक्ती झाली. मुलांनी दहावीच्या परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण केल्या आणि मुलींच्या कबड्डी संघाने तालुका व राज्यस्तरीय स्पर्धांमध्ये यश मिळवले.
By 2018, the school had grown to 447 students. Education was provided free of cost. Teachers were appointed and students began achieving academic and sporting success.
समृद्धी महामार्गाच्या प्रकल्पामुळे जून 2019 मध्ये शाळेतील concrete आणि thatched classrooms, library, toilets, kitchen area आणि playground चे मोठे नुकसान झाले. मुलांचे शिक्षण सुरू ठेवणे हे नवे मोठे आव्हान बनले.
In June 2019, the Samruddhi Highway project led to the demolition of the school's classrooms, library, toilets, kitchen area and playground. Continuing education for the children became the next major challenge.
शाळेचे नुकसान झाले तरी मिशन थांबले नाही. मुलांना चांगले वातावरण देणे, त्यांना शिकवणे आणि त्यांचे जीवन बदलण्यासाठी सतत प्रयत्न करणे हा प्रवास आजही सुरू आहे.
The destruction did not end the mission. The commitment to provide children with a safe environment, education and a better future continues.

The journey that began in a small thatched structure on 22 September 2011 gradually developed into an educational centre with classrooms, library, toilets, playground and hostel.
The central purpose remained to provide free education and a safe environment for deprived children.
2019 मध्ये महामार्ग प्रकल्पामुळे शाळेतील अनेक रचना जमीनदोस्त झाल्या. सुमारे 2,000 पुस्तके library मधून सुरक्षित हलवावी लागली.
दोन मजली hostel मात्र उभा राहिला आणि मुलांसाठी आश्रयाचे महत्त्वाचे ठिकाण राहिले.

In 2019, the highway project resulted in the demolition of major parts of the school. Around 2,000 books had to be moved from the library to safety.
The two-floor hostel remained standing and continued to provide an important shelter for the children.
